A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in pediatric and school-based therapy services. This full-time position, located in Silver Spring, MD, offers a chance to work itinerantly within schools, providing direct speech therapy and teletherapy to students in need.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP certification (CCC) with experience in healthcare and pediatric settings
- Experience or eligibility to provide teletherapy services
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
- Background in school-based caseload management and familiarity with IEP processes
- Ability to work collaboratively with educational teams and families
Location:
- Position is based in Silver Spring, MD with travel to assigned school sites within the district.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services in compliance with district and IDEA guidelines
- Manage a caseload of students using a workload or caseload model (to be determined)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals
- Participate in team meetings, assessments, and IEP development
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district policies
- Provide indirect services and administrative duties as required
