In this position, you can expect a 35-hour workweek with assignments across various schools in the Chattanooga areaproviding valuable SLP services that empower young learners to thrive academically and socially. While final caseload and specific age group details are being finalized, the districts ongoing need typically focuses on the elementary age range.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Current, active Speech-Language Pathologist license required
  • Valid Department of Education certification to serve as an SLP
  • Experience in a school setting or working with elementary-aged students is highly valued
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible caseload across multiple campuses as needed
  • Completion of required fingerprinting and credentialing prior to assignment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy services to assigned students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
  • Participate in assessments and eligibility determinations as needed
  • Support a positive, inclusive learning environment
