Assignments, including the number of schools covered, will be determined based on district needs and caseload finalized prior to start. The upcoming school year runs from August 5, 2026, through May 19, 2027, within the Chattanooga area.
What you'll bring:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Department of Education certification as an SLP
- Schools-based SLP experience preferred
- Fingerprint clearance (required prior to start)
- Flexibility to adapt to caseload variations as determined by the district
Key responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students, primarily within the elementary age group
- Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to each student's unique needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school professionals to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate session notes, reports, and documentation to ensure compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as needed
