Step into an integral role supporting early learners by providing speech-language pathology services in a school setting. This contract position is ideal for professionals eager to make an impact with preschool-aged children, working part-time within a nurturing educational environment. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey Speech-Language Pathologist license and DOE certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Experience with pediatric and school-based caseloads, particularly preschoolers
- Strong understanding of IEP procedures and documentation
- Confident using school-based IEP systems for progress tracking and goal setting
- Proven ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based therapy to a dedicated preschool caseload, addressing a variety of speech and language needs
- Perform assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans in compliance with IEP mandates
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation using the districts IEP system
- Consult and communicate regularly with educators, families, and support staff to optimize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student progress and recommendations
