What You'll Bring:
- Valid Louisiana Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility)
- Previous school-based experience, preferably at various grade levels
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt and individualize treatment for diverse student needs
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students within elementary, middle, and high schools
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support student success
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to create effective communication strategies and classroom accommodations
- Provide direct therapy in both group and one-on-one settings
- Document progress and adjust interventions to maximize growth and achievement
- Educate staff and parents on communication challenges and available resources
