As a contract Speech-Language Pathologist supporting K-12 students in the vibrant community near Shorewood, IL, you will play a crucial role in enhancing communication skills and empowering learners to reach their fullest potential. Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current or pending Illinois SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Previous experience within a school setting and with K-12 populations preferred
- Strong collaborative skills for working with educators, families, and other support staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Dedication to evidence-based interventions and individualized student care
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnoses, and direct therapy services to K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and parents to facilitate student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and effectively communicate student needs and goals
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Foster a welcoming and supportive learning atmosphere in both group and one-on-one settings
