Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students growth and communication skills in a dynamic educational environment near Shorewood, IL. This position is ideal for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about making a direct impact in schools for the 2025/26 academic year. From August 2026 through May 2027, youll work full time (32.5-37.5 hours per week), utilizing your expertise across a diverse range of caseloads.

Were seeking 1-2 SLPs with a strong background in school-based settings. Responsibilities span Morris and Minooka caseloads, including direct therapy for students and consultative services. Youll be collaborating across multiple sites, supporting both general and specialized needs such as autism-specific classrooms with higher service minutes.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active CCC-SLP certification
  • Previous experience working in school environments required
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage diverse caseloads and balance direct/consultative responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language services for approximately 39 students in the Morris area (including GCSEC, Nettle Creek, and TLC, with some consult-only roles)
  • Serve high-need autism caseloads at Minooka Intermediate and Walnut Trails (21 students total)
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy goals
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in adherence to school policies
