Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Kansas City area for the upcoming school year. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) spans the duration of the school year, from early August to late May. With multiple vacancies available, professionals will have the chance to make a significant impact across 1 to 3 school campuses, working closely with students and educational teams.
Preferred candidates are those open to on-site work, and applications are being accepted from SLPs with their Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC), Clinical Fellows (CF), and SLP Assistants (SLPA). Your caseload will be determined closer to the start date, offering an engaging mix of experiences and professional growth potential.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (required for SLPs and CFs)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for Kansas
- SLP-CCC, Clinical Fellow (CF), or licensed SLPA welcomed
- Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Solid communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to K-12 students
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized therapy plans
- Communicate progress with families and educational staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and stay current with student needs
- Travel among multiple campuses as assigned
