Job Description

An Elementary School in Shawnee, KS, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide specialized support during the current school year contract. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive speech and language services to elementary-aged students, addressing communication challenges in a supportive educational environment.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid SLP license and active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Experience working as an SLP in a school setting, preferably with elementary students
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders
  • Ability to design, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, parents, and other professionals

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students individually or in groups
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and state regulations
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
