This opportunity involves providing specialized speech-language pathology services within elementary schools located in Bradenton, FL, serving a diverse student population. The role requires onsite presence at multiple Title 1 schools with various specialized education programs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) classrooms, early childhood special education (ESE), and integrated preschool settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology assessments, evaluations, and therapy to students across early childhood and elementary levels.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams.
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as needed, ensuring quality of care.
- Maintain compliance with state licensure and school district requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support students communication and learning needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida State License for Speech-Language Pathology.
- Masters degree preferred; consideration may be given to candidates with a Bachelors degree for select positions.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred.
- Candidates completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working in school settings, especially with children who have ASD and ESE needs, is highly valued.
- Ability to work onsite across multiple school locations.
Assignment Details:
- Contract position beginning ASAP through May 29, 2026.
- Assignments at Ballard Elementary, Sea Breeze Elementary, and Abel Elementary (March - May for Abel).
- Full-time hours, serving 3 schools with varying caseloads.
