Ideal Experience and Skills:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid SLP license for the state of Washington (or eligibility to obtain)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, CFY candidates welcome
  • Demonstrated experience working with pediatric populations
  • Experience with a range of ages: Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grades K-5, Middle School (Grades 6-8), and High School (Grades 9-12)
  • Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring in a school environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to varied educational settings and diverse student needs

What Youll Do:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to students from preschool through high school
  • Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations for students referred to speech services
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings, documenting progress, goals, and recommendations
  • Collaborate with school teams to support student participation and academic success
  • Educate staff and families on communication strategies and support as needed
