Job Description

A School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Seattle, WA, serving students from early childhood through high school. This contract role offers the chance to provide essential therapeutic support across a diverse range of grade levels, including Pre-K, Kindergarten, Elementary (Grades K-5), Middle School (Grades 6-8), and High School (Grades 9-12).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in pediatric students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students academic and social success.
  • Monitor progress and adjust therapy strategies based on student response.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and comply with all relevant regulations and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings.
  • Ability to address diverse age groups including early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff.
  • Knowledge of speech and language development milestones and pediatric therapy interventions.
