This contract opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and is comfortable collaborating with teachers, families, and other service providers.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows will also be considered
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Collaborative spirit and adaptability within a dynamic school team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students in accordance with IEP requirements
- Conduct assessments to identify students needs and track progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress reports, and Medicaid billing as applicable
- Work closely with teachers, school staff, and families to support student success
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights
- Use creative and evidence-based interventions designed to foster communication skills across diverse student populations
