Job Description

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is sought for a contract position within a K-12 educational setting in Lehman, PA. This role involves providing therapy services primarily to elementary students (K-6) with a limited number of high school students (9th grade), addressing a diverse range of disabilities including Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Other Health Impairments (OHI), Emotional Disturbances (ED), and Intellectual Disabilities (ID).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy to a caseload of approximately 65 students, focusing on individualized goals tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, healthcare professionals, and families to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
  • Conduct assessments, progress monitoring, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school policies.
  • Adapt therapy techniques across in-person and teletherapy platforms as necessary.
  • Advocate for students communication needs within the educational environment to support their academic and social success.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology license with CCC.
  • Experience in healthcare and pediatrics is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy methods and protocols.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
  • Experience working within school settings is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload involving various disabilities.

Position Details:

  • Location: Lehman, PA.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week with flexible scheduling options starting at 8:00 am, 9:00 am, or 2:30 pm.
  • Contract Duration: September 10, 2025 January 15, 2026.
  • Number of Openings: 1.
