Job Description

A position is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services within K-12 schools and Early Intervention programs in Carbon and Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. This contract role supports school districts served by an Intermediate Unit, focusing on fostering communication development for students across the academic spectrum.

Location: Carbon & Lehigh County, PA
Duration: Contract through approximately June 12, 2026 (aligned with the school calendar)
Hours: 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized speech and language therapy plans that meet student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators and families to support students communication goals.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress records.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Proof of active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania is required.
  • PDE certification in Speech and Language (Ed Sp/Instructional I) is mandatory.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Speech Language Pathologist license (preferred).
  • ASHA Clinical Competency Certificate (CCC) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working within school districts or early intervention settings is beneficial.
