Step into a dynamic role supporting PreK5th grade students at a welcoming elementary school for the 20262027 academic year. This on-site opportunity is ideal for Speech Language Pathologists (CCC), whether bilingual or monolingual, and is open to experienced clinicians or those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY); district supervision is provided for CFYs. With a dedicated caseload of approximately 51 students and no SLPA support, your expertise in fostering communication skills will be crucial in helping young learners thrive throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license (obtained through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation)
- ASHA Certification (if applicable, with hours logged)
- Experience or strong interest in working within a school environment
- Adept verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability in team collaboration and effective time management
- Working knowledge of behavior support strategies
- References that speak to recent school-based or pediatric experience
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy to students in grades PreK5
- Develop, implement, and update IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Employ creative interventions tailored to diverse learning needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and assessments
- Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations
- Deliver engaging support in an inclusive and supportive environment
This contract runs from August 12, 2026, through May 26, 2027, providing full-time (40 hours/week) consistency. The role is highly collaborative, offering opportunities for personal and professional growth through hands-on service and collegial partnerships.
