Job Description

If you are a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with either a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or completing your Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), this contract position is an excellent chance to make a meaningful impact.

This role begins in May and involves working onsite with a non-verbal student caseload. You'll provide essential assessments and therapeutic interventions, collaborating closely with educators, families, and fellow professionals to foster student progress.

What We're Looking For:

  • Valid SLP state license and relevant New York certifications
  • SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credentials
  • Experience or strong interest in working with non-verbal students
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to varied communication needs
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
  • Enthusiasm for working onsite within a school environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for non-verbal students
  • Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools and strategies
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy goals into daily activities
  • Maintain clear records and progress notes as required by the school setting
  • Act as a resource for families and staff about communication strategies and progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and assist with educational planning as needed
