Step into an exciting contract role as a Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist, providing vital communication support to students in a diverse school setting near Schaumburg, IL. In this onsite position, youll have the opportunity to make a real difference throughout the academic year, working with a dynamic team dedicated to empowering young learners.
Key Qualifications:
- Possess an ISBE Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Language endorsement
- Hold a current Illinois State License (IDFPR)
- Certification as an SLP-CCC, SLP-School; CF-SLPs (first-year SLPs) also encouraged to apply
- Bilingual abilities required for full impact in the role
- SLP-As will only be considered if specifically indicated
- Passion for advancing student abilities in speech, language, and communication
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students as assigned
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other school professionals
- Assess, document, and report on student progress with professionalism and attention to detail
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and parent conferences
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive school community for all learners
