Job Description

Make an impact supporting students communication success in a contract role as a Speech-Language Pathologist in dynamic school communities. This flexible, full-time opportunity offers a blend of elementary and middle school experience for the current school year, with a consistent assignment anticipated for the following year.

Youll spend your time split across several welcoming campuses, working collaboratively with dedicated staff and diverse student populations. This is an ideal position for licensed SLPs, Clinical Fellows (CFs) seeking strong supervision, or bachelor-level clinicians interested in pursuing a temporary teaching certificate (no SLPA license required this year).

Preferred Experience and Credentials:

  • Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license (required)
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences preferred; bachelors accepted on temporary teaching certificate
  • CFs welcomed; supervision provided
  • Experience working within school-based settings a plus
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for serving elementary and/or middle school students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in elementary and middle school settings
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments, interpret results, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational teams to support student progress
  • Offer guidance and support to colleagues and supervise CFs as needed
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to positive learning environments
