A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in San Luis Obispo, CA, to cover a maternity leave from October through mid-December 2025. This travel position supports students from Pre-K through 12th grade in a school setting, providing essential speech and language services across a diverse caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and prepare reports in accordance with IEP guidelines.
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services tailored to individual student needs.
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide indirect services such as consults and progress monitoring.
- Serve students presenting with a variety of disabilities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing certification.
- Experience working as an SLP in schools, with familiarity in pediatric and education-related therapy.
- Ability to manage caseloads and documentation within a school environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.
- Commitment to working on-site for 21 hours weekly, spread over three days.
