This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers the opportunity to work within K-12 schools across the scenic Central Coast region of California, including locations in Pismo Beach, Santa Maria, Edna, and Arroyo Grande. This contract role is ideal for a dedicated professional holding a valid California SLP license or California Credential Teacher Credentialing Commission (CTC) certification. The assignment covers the 2025-2026 school year with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California SLP license or CA CTC credential
- Speech-Language Pathology experience within school settings, preferably across pediatric and healthcare-related contexts
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent training completed
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders common in school-aged children (K-12)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, healthcare professionals, and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and screenings for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address communication disorders
- Provide direct therapy services and progress monitoring aligned with student needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state educational standards and licensing requirements
