Job Description
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide services across multiple K-12 schools in the San Luis Obispo area, including Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Santa Maria, and Edna, CA. This contract position covers the 2025-2026 school year, offering 37.5 hours per week within a dynamic educational setting serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children. Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) is essential. The therapist will monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and support students in achieving their communication goals.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification for SLPs
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion preferred but not required
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or healthcare settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage comprehensive caseloads and provide individualized treatment plans
