Job Description

This full-time contract opportunity supports K-12 students in a school setting located in San Elizario, TX. The focus is on providing essential speech-language pathology (SLP) services, primarily in high school, with an additional option in K-8 grades. Candidates should be prepared to address significant service gaps and manage a sizeable caseload.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy for high school students, primarily in the Lower Valley south of I10, addressing a backlog due to lack of prior service.
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 64 students, including updating and organizing communication services and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Provide support for K-8 students in the north east of I10 area if assigned, with a caseload around 40 students.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure compliance with service timelines and IEP goals.
  • Commit to full workdays; part-time considered only if full days are worked, not split hours.
  • Work on-site exclusively.

Qualifications:

  • Valid State SLP licensure.
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations.
  • Ability to manage large caseloads and conduct thorough service catch-up.
  • Strong organizational skills for handling extensive IEP documentation and communication services.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
