Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in the San Bernardino area, beginning this August and extending through December to cover maternity leave. Both experienced SLPs (CCC) and Clinical Fellows (CFY/CSY) are encouraged to apply! Immediate interviews are being conducted this week via Zoom for motivated professionals ready to make an impact.
In this role, you'll have the option of serving elementary or high school students, working at 1-2 sites and supporting diverse caseloads of mild to severe disabilities. Responsibilities include assessments, conducting therapy, participating in IEPs and ISTs, and collaborating with school teams to foster student success. Caseloads are designed for manageability, offering a fixed schedule of 37.5-40 hours per week. Please note: virtual services and SLPAs are not utilized for these assignments.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP license (non-negotiable)
- Open to both SLP-CCC and SLP-CFY/CSY candidates
- Experience with school-aged or pediatric caseloads
- Skilled in assessments, IEP writing, and direct therapy
- Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 53-65 students depending on assignment
- Provide both group and individual therapy to students with varying disabilities
- Complete timely assessments and contribute to IEP/IST processes
- Travel to 1-2 school sites as assigned
- Support a positive, collaborative learning environment
