Step into a dynamic, school-based setting and provide essential support as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) during the first nine-week period of the academic year. This full-time, on-site contract position involves working across two school locations near San Antonio, TX, helping students communicate and thrive while covering a valued colleagues maternity leave. The assignment begins August 17 and continues through October 9, offering a unique opportunity to make a direct impact at the start of the school year.
The district is actively conducting interviews on April 27. As part of your role, you will supervise a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, so experience supporting or mentoring colleagues is a plus. Strong collaboration skills and flexibility in working with diverse student populations are essential.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Active professional SLP license (CCC required)
- Fingerprinting and background check compliance
- Bilingual skills and experience working with bilingual populations preferred
- Previous supervision or mentorship of SLPAs is a valuable asset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language services across two school sites
- Administer assessments and design individualized treatment plans
- Supervise and support a bilingual SLPA
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation
- Communicate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student progress
