Job Description

Step into a fulfilling contract-based role supporting students communication needs within a dynamic district near Salisbury, NC. This opportunity focuses on delivering speech-language services throughout the academic year, starting August 12, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with positions primarily based in the east and southern regions. Four positions are available for highly motivated professionals, with full-time hours ranging from 35 to 37.5 hours per week.

Desired background and qualifications:

  • Holds a valid North Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license (required)
  • Accepts SLP-CF candidates (district supervision is available)
  • SLP-CCC credentials preferred
  • School-based experience strongly valued
  • Must demonstrate skill working with students on the autism spectrum (AU) and those with low cognitive disabilities
  • Comfortable managing a caseload of up to 35 students
  • SLPAs are not being considered for these roles

Role responsibilities include:

  • Delivering comprehensive speech-language therapy services to students with diverse needs
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and educational professionals to support student progress
  • Developing and implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals and data-driven progress monitoring
  • Participating in IEP meetings and communicating student outcomes to stakeholders
  • Maintaining thorough documentation, adhering to district and state requirements
