Job Description

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity serving students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 20262027 school year. This full-time onsite position will provide direct services and assessments within a school-based setting near Salinas, CA. The district is seeking individuals skilled in school-based SLP practices who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of children.

Desired qualifications:

  • Hold an active California SLP license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Previous experience as a school SLP, especially within California settings, is preferred
  • Strong assessment and documentation skills
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly valued
  • Ability to collaborate with school teams, caregivers, and community partners
  • Dedicated to implementing evidence-based interventions in diverse educational environments

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy and intervention to students according to their IEPs
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
  • Participate collaboratively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate student records and progress notes
  • Adapt intervention and assessment strategies for diverse student needs and cultural backgrounds
  • Potential supervision and mentoring of support staff or CFY, as determined by the district

The anticipated school sites and caseloads are to be decided, with multiple positions expected for the upcoming academic year. The district welcomes experienced travel professionals with the credentials to work onsite.
