Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and student evaluations within the high school setting.
- Develop, write, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support student growth.
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators and parents for optimal outcomes.
- Deliver direct, evidence-based speech therapy to students with diverse communication needs.
- Communicate progress and strategies clearly to staff, students, and families, supporting all stakeholders.
- Uphold the highest standard of professional and ethical practice in compliance with school and state guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Speech Language Pathologist license.
- Demonstrated experience with high school-aged students is preferred, but all SLP backgrounds are welcome.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to document interventions and student progress thoroughly and efficiently.
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team.
