Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a contract Speech Language Pathologist working with learners ranging from elementary through high school. This engaging opportunity is located near Salem, VA, with a focus on fostering communication growth and success in a welcoming educational environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Possession of current Virginia SLP Certification
- Experience with school-based SLP services, K-12 preferred
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Adaptability to meet the needs of diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students in elementary and K-12 settings
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment data
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to best serve student goals
- Maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports and IEP records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary team efforts
