Join an educational setting as a Speech Language Pathologist in Roanoke, VA, serving K-12 students with an emphasis on elementary school. This contract position offers a balanced 37.5-hour workweek and provides the opportunity to support students communication development in both the current school year (CSY) and next school year (NSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with school and regulatory standards
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings as required
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia State Speech Language Pathologist Certification is mandatory
- Experience working within school settings, specifically serving K-12 populations, preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to student-centered care and educational support
