Job Description

Join an educational setting as a Speech Language Pathologist in Roanoke, VA, serving K-12 students with an emphasis on elementary school. This contract position offers a balanced 37.5-hour workweek and provides the opportunity to support students communication development in both the current school year (CSY) and next school year (NSY).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with school and regulatory standards
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings as required

Qualifications:

  • Valid Virginia State Speech Language Pathologist Certification is mandatory
  • Experience working within school settings, specifically serving K-12 populations, preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to student-centered care and educational support
