Job Description

Step into a dynamic, school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP or SLPA) opportunity designed for passionate professionals who value flexibility and want to make a direct impact in students lives. This contract role begins ASAP and runs through late May 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours/week across one to two campuses within St. Louis County.

Youll primarily serve students at the elementary levelmany of whom are non-verbal and utilize AAC devices to communicateoffering valuable support in speech and language development. Expect a collaborative environment where adaptability is highly valued, as needs and assignments may shift during your assignment. Theres also the chance to assist at a secondary site within the same region if needed.

What Were Looking For:

  • Active Missouri SLP or SLPA license required
  • Experience in school settings preferred
  • Familiarity with AAC devices and serving non-verbal student populations is highly desirable
  • Dedication to flexibility and quick adaptation to evolving student or district needs
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Valid fingerprinting and willingness to complete required district onboarding paperwork
  • Comfort with both independent and team-based service delivery

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized speech-language treatment plans
  • Deliver direct therapy services in accordance with student IEPs
  • Work closely with special education staff, teachers, and family members
  • Implement and support use of communication devices as appropriate
  • Maintain thorough records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
