A full-time Speech Language Pathologist position is available in Cassopolis, MI, serving a diverse student population with varying needs. This contract role runs from April through the end of the school year, with the possibility of extending into summer for Extended School Year (ESY) services. The caseload includes approximately 55 students, encompassing those who are emotionally impaired, moderately cognitively impaired, and severely impaired.
Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and providing speech and language therapy to school-aged children with a range of communication disorders. Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress reports is essential. Delivering therapy services both in-person and via teletherapy may be required, ensuring accessibility for all students.
Qualifications and experience:
- Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
- Michigan SLP License required
- School-based experience preferred, including work with pediatric populations
- Experience with emotionally and cognitively impaired students highly desirable
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is a plus
- Able to manage a caseload of approximately 55 students effectively
- Strong communication and organizational skills
