Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in students lives supporting communication development as a Speech Language Pathologist. This contract role runs from April through the end of the school year, with the possibility of continuing into the summer for ESY if desired. Youll provide services on a full-time basis, working with a diverse caseload of approximately 55 students ranging from those with emotional impairments to students with moderate or severe cognitive challenges.
Use your commitment and expertise to deliver interventions and evaluations that foster communication growth and educational access for each student. Youll work collaboratively with teachers, families, and support staff, leveraging a variety of service delivery models, including on-site and teletherapy options.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Michigan SLP License
- Experience in school settings preferred
- CCC-SLP, CFY, or pediatric SLP background valued
- Comfort and skill working with emotionally and cognitively impaired populations
- Familiarity with IEP processes and telepractice is a plus
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students in accordance with their IEPs
- Deliver both direct therapy and consultative services
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and program development
- Engage caregivers and educators in supporting communication strategies
