In this contract role, youll collaborate with educators, families, and fellow support specialists to foster student success as a valued Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in schools. Your expertise will help children overcome barriers to learning and unlock their full potential.
Preferred Skills & Background:
- Current licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Previous experience working with K-12 students (preferred, but not required)
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability in a school environment
Day-to-Day Expectations:
- Conduct evaluations, screenings, and assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
- Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings
- Track student progress and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Offer consultation, resources, and support to teachers and parents
- Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and ongoing professional development
