Job Description

Preferred Skills & Background:

  • Current licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Previous experience working with K-12 students (preferred, but not required)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a school environment

Day-to-Day Expectations:

  • Conduct evaluations, screenings, and assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication challenges
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
  • Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings
  • Track student progress and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Offer consultation, resources, and support to teachers and parents
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and ongoing professional development
