Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Florida
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though strong CFY candidates are encouraged to apply
- Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals
- Excellent organizational and documentation capabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations to identify students in need of speech and language services
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services within multiple school settings and grade levels
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with local and federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Provide resources and training for staff and families as needed
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages communication growth in all students
