Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist by supporting preschool and high school students throughout the school year. This role offers the opportunity to deliver essential speech and language services to a diverse range of learners, helping them overcome communication challenges and succeed academically and socially.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for preschool and high school students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, families, and educators.
  • Maintain clear documentation of student progress and therapeutic outcomes in accordance with school policies and state regulations.
  • Work onsite, delivering services at both a preschool location (to be determined) and at Ringgold High School.
  • Optimize learning opportunities by traveling between assigned sites as needed, providing consistent and high-quality services.
  • Consult and confer with teachers, administrators, and families to support student development and progress.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to developing effective educational strategies for each student.

Desired qualifications:

  • Active Louisiana Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
  • Previous work within school-based settings strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting preschool and high school-aged populations is a plus.
  • Adaptable, organized, and comfortable working autonomously across multiple sites.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
