Qualifications:

  • Hold a current LSLS Cert. AVT (Listening and Spoken Language Specialist Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist) certification.
  • Licensed in your discipline for the state (SLP, Audiologist, or TDHH).
  • Experience in schools and familiarity with Auditory Verbal Therapy.
  • Possess the SLP-CCC credential if qualifying as an SLP.
  • Strong assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment for Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) services.
  • Determine ongoing service needs and provide therapy as appropriate.
  • Deliver one 60-minute session per month, onsite.
  • Document progress effectively and communicate outcomes with educational partners and families.
  • Maintain compliance with all certification and state licensure requirements.
