As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, your expertise will support students and collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team throughout the academic year.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Illinois SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- PEL (Professional Educator License) required
- Experience providing speech-language services in a school environment preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt to a diverse caseload and collaborate with educators and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work onsite, providing therapy within classroom and one-on-one settings
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school, local, and state requirements
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students academic and social progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions as required
- Serve as a resource to school staff regarding strategies for facilitating communication
