Position Details

• Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Location: Rosamond, California
• Assignment Dates: September 14, 2026 June 4, 2027
• Hours: 35 hours per week
• Setting: School-Based
• Caseload: Kindergarten through 12th Grade
• Student Caseload: Approximately 50 students
• Role Type: Itinerant position servicing multiple schools throughout the district

Job Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and therapy interventions.
• Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, self-help, visual-motor, and functional school participation skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and families to support student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and state guidelines.
• Travel between multiple school sites within the district to deliver services.

Qualifications

• Active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Previous pediatric, school-based, or educational experience preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple locations.
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning and developmental needs is a plus.
