Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a welcoming educational setting near Rockford, MI. In this rewarding contract position, you'll provide essential speech and language services to students in grades K-5, collaborating closely with educators and families to support each childs developmental and academic success. This in-person opportunity extends through the remainder of the school year, with flexible scheduling options available for part-time candidates.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFY candidates are welcome to apply
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for K-5 students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Deliver direct therapy services in both individual and small group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and parents to support student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Educate school staff and families on strategies and best practices for speech and language development
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in the field
