Job Description
A full-time contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Quincy, WA, serving students from kindergarten through 5th grade. This role requires active Washington State licensure as an SLP and an ESA Teaching Certification. Working 37.5 hours per week, you will provide comprehensive speech therapy services within a school setting as part of the academic support team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy interventions to K-5 students, addressing a range of communication disorders
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress, maintain detailed documentation, and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions regarding student outcomes
- Comply with all state and district policies, including onboarding and fingerprinting requirements prior to start
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist license
- ESA Teaching Certification appropriate for school settings
- Experience working in educational environments preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a school team
- Commitment to supporting student success through evidence-based interventions
This position operates under a contract through the school district with an expected start date in August and continues through the end of the school year. Interviews will be conducted remotely via Zoom, with a swift hiring process to meet the upcoming school calendar.
