Make a real difference in the lives of young learners as a Speech Language Pathologist serving a 3rd-grade caseload in a supportive educational environment near Rochester, NY. This contract position offers you the chance to work closely with students, families, and education professionals, utilizing your expertise in pediatric communication disorders to help children thrive both academically and socially.
Your schedule will align with the academic day (8:00 am 3:00 pm, 35 hours per week), providing meaningful work-life balance throughout the school year. Qualifications & Experience:
- Active NY SLP License and TSSLD Certification required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, with experience in pediatric school-based or teletherapy settings highly valued
- Background in providing assessment and intervention for students at the elementary level, particularly 3rd grade
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working with diverse school teams
- Previous experience in school-based, pediatric, or teletherapy SLP roles considered an asset
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students needing speech and language support
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to meet IEP goals
- Maintain detailed records, progress notes, and collaborate on documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, administration, and family members to support student progress
- Attend meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
