Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' speech and language development across elementary and middle school settings in the Rochester, MI area. Two onsite speech-language pathologists are needed to provide services throughout the 2026-27 school year, with the potential to cover ESY in 2025-26. This position is ideal for driven professionals who thrive in a collaborative educational environment and can independently manage their caseload, delivering comprehensive speech-language services to students from PreK through 12th grade.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Michigan SLP license required; please submit a screenshot of your current license status.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) strongly preferred.
- Experience serving students in a school-based setting, especially across a wide range of grade levels (PreK-12).
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with educators and families.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing therapy plans tailored to individual student needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language intervention and therapy to students of varying ages and abilities.
- Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and document outcomes in compliance with school and state requirements.
- Develop and implement IEPs in coordination with IEP teams, teachers, and families.
- Participate in eligibility meetings and multidisciplinary team conferences as needed.
- Educate and support classroom staff to promote effective communication strategies.
- Maintain appropriate records and uphold confidentiality.
