Job Description

Step into a pivotal role supporting students' communication needs in a vibrant educational setting near Roanoke Rapids, NC. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from July 27, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in students lives. With 37.5 hours per week, youll collaborate with educators and families to help each child achieve their full potential.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
  • Preference for candidates holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Must possess an NC Department of Public Instruction G License.
  • Eligibility for or possession of a license from the NC Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in school-based speech-language pathology and familiarity with IEP documentation is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screening, assessment, and diagnosis of speech, language, and communication disorders in a school setting.
  • Advise and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Provide direct therapy services supporting students academic and social success.
  • Manage caseload planning, session preparation, and documentation.
  • Oversee and monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure goals are met.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and school planning and oversight activities.
