Job Description

A travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Riverview, MI, supporting an adult transition program for students ages 18-25. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with young adults developing independence through community and work-based learning experiences. The caseload includes approximately 10-12 students receiving direct speech services.

Location: Travel assignment in Riverview, Michigan
Setting: School-based, serving one school within the district
Schedule: Part-time, 2 days per week totaling 14 hours weekly
Duration: Starting ASAP through the end of the school year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to students within the adult transition program
  • Utilize individualized education plans (IEPs) to develop and implement tailored treatment goals
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records according to district procedures
  • Collaborate with educational staff to support student progress toward independence
  • Participate in any required team meetings as scheduled

Qualifications:

  • Valid CCC-SLP certification and licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience providing speech therapy services in school settings preferred
  • Familiarity with working with young adults transitioning to community and work environments
  • Ability to deliver services both directly and indirectly in compliance with IEP requirements
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams

  • No supervision responsibilities are required in this role
