Step into a meaningful role supporting elementary school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Tampa, FL area. This full-time, school-based contract opportunity is set for the 2026-2027 academic year, with placements across several elementary campuses in a vibrant educational community known for its dedication to student development.
Youll work on-site, partnering with a single school assignment, focusing on a diverse caseload of elementary-aged children drawn from campuses such as Belmont, Corr, Doby, and Pinecrest Elementary. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping students improve communication skills, empowering them to thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active FL SLP license (required)
- Clinical Competence Certification (CCC) or a Clinical Fellow (CF)
- Prior school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Skilled at working with elementary-aged children with varying speech and language needs
- Ability to commute efficiently to Tampa area schools (please include your zip code with your application)
- Willingness to participate in a prescreen interview and complete all credentialing requirements in a timely manner
What Youll Do:
- Provide individualized and group speech-language therapy to students as prescribed in their IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support students communication goals
- Assess, track, and document progress, adjusting plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary educational teams
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
