Job Description

A rewarding contract opportunity awaits experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) seeking a dynamic, school-based position in the Riverside, CA area. Providing crucial support across multiple campuses, this role focuses on pediatric populations in K-8 settings, both in-person and via teletherapy platforms. Two positions are available: one spanning from August to early November, and another extending from August into January, with the potential for extension. Board approval of final start dates will be required.

Candidates who are in their Clinical Fellowship year are not eligible for this position.

What Were Looking For:

  • Valid California SLP license and ASHA CCC certification
  • Minimum of one year of post-CFY experience working with pediatric populations
  • Expertise in school-based therapy, including direct and indirect student support
  • Familiarity with teletherapy practices and virtual IEP meetings
  • Ability to travel between multiple school sites during the workweek
  • Commitment to collaborative teamwork and effective communication
  • Proficiency with IEP documentation and case management

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop IEPs for students with communication impairments
  • Deliver direct and indirect therapy services per student IEPs
  • Facilitate family and staff consultations
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings (paid administrative time included)
  • Maintain timely documentation and progress reports
  • Collaborate with special education, general education, and administrative teams
