Job Description

A school-based speech-language pathologist position is available for a contract role starting in August and continuing through December to cover maternity leaves. The position is full-time, requiring 37.5 to 40 hours per week, serving a diverse caseload of students with mild to severe disabilities.

Two caseload options are available:

  • Caseload #1 is based primarily at two elementary schools, with four days at one site and one day at another, supporting approximately 53-55 students.
  • Caseload #2 is located at a high school plus an eAcademy program housed at the same site, serving about 59-65 students. Both caseloads involve conducting assessments, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), participating in Instructional Support Team meetings (ISTs), and providing therapy services.

Candidates must hold a valid California SLP license. Certified Clinical Fellows (CFYs) are encouraged to apply, and Clinical Supervisors are willing to consider candidates who possess the Clinical Fellow Status (CFS). This role requires in-person work as virtual services are not conducted.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to students in a school setting
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Attend IST meetings and contribute to student progress planning

Qualifications:

  • California Speech-Language Pathology license (required)
  • Eligibility for SLP - CCC certification preferred
  • Experience or willingness to work with pediatric populations
  • Familiarity with school-based service delivery preferred
  • Good communication and organizational skills

Locations within reasonable commute include Riverside, with options in nearby cities such as Beaumont, San Bernardino, Corona, and Rancho Cucamonga.
