Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year, serving students from PreK through 8th grade. With a full-time schedule from August to May, youll play an essential role helping children reach crucial communication milestones while collaborating with a supportive and dedicated team.
Your background in school-based and pediatric speech-language therapy will be instrumental in delivering intervention and support. This role emphasizes flexibility, professional growth, and the chance to make a tangible difference in students daily lives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current SLP-CCC credentials, holding a valid state license
- Previous experience with pediatric and school populations required
- Strong knowledge of typical childhood language, articulation, and fluency disorders
- Demonstrated skills in speech, language, and swallowing assessments and treatments
- Ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaborative skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify speech, language, and communication needs for students ages PreK through 8th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions within school settings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Contribute to IEP meetings, sharing expert insights and recommendations for student success
