Job Description

A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Red Hook, NY, within a school setting serving children ages 6-12. This contract role offers a dynamic opportunity to provide direct speech-language therapy services to school-aged students, supporting their communication development and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech and language therapy sessions to children aged 6-12
  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans based on student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
  • Utilize teletherapy techniques as needed to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State SLP license or certification (NY SLP)
  • Credentials such as Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience working in school settings or pediatrics strongly desired
  • Familiarity with teletherapy delivery models a plus
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) considered an asset
