Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of high school students as a contract Speech Language Pathologist in the greater Puyallup, WA area for the 2026-2027 academic year. This onsite opportunity allows you to work closely with a dedicated educational team, supporting student success through targeted speech and language interventions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current WA State Speech Language Pathologist license
  • SLP-CCC certification
  • (Or willingness to obtain) Washington Teaching Certificate
  • Previous experience in school-based speech therapy is highly valued
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group speech/language therapy to high school students
  • Conduct assessments and interpret results for eligibility and progress monitoring
  • Develop IEP goals, attend meetings, and maintain detailed documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers and special education professionals to support student learning
  • Engage and communicate with families regarding student progress and strategies for success
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up to date with best practices
