Job Description
Step into a rewarding Speech Language Pathologist role supporting elementary students for the 2025-2026 school year. This opportunity, based near Puyallup, WA, offers both full-time and part-time options to accommodate your availability. You'll work with a caseload of no more than 50 students in grades K through 6, focusing on delivering essential speech and language services, with a particular emphasis on students in the P-4 grade range.
Preferred background includes experience in schools, healthcare, pediatrics, or teletherapy. Candidates with their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are welcome, provided all state and certification requirements are met.
Qualifications:
- Active Washington State Speech Language Pathologist license
- ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification
- Strong skills in assessing, organizing, and providing speech/language interventions to elementary students
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms a plus
- Collaborative mindset for teaming with educators, families, and other professionals
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and provide therapy to students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Document progress and maintain accurate, timely records
- Consult with teachers and staff on strategies to support students speech and language needs
- Actively participate in team meetings, contributing to student progress reviews
