Job Description
Deliver transformative support to middle school students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. Based near Providence, RI, this opportunity focuses on enhancing communication and language skills in a dynamic school environment. You'll collaborate with educators and families to help students achieve their academic and social potential.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Valid SLP licensure for practice in Rhode Island
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY)
- Experience with pediatric populations and a solid understanding of school-based SLP services
- Comfortable working in healthcare-related and educational settings
- Strong organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills
Role Highlights:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to middle school students, tailoring interventions for individual needs
- Evaluate, diagnose, and design IEP-driven plans focusing on speech, language, and communication goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support teams to integrate therapy into the classroom setting
- Deliver services for 37.5 hours per week, over 5 days
- Document student progress and adapt strategies as necessary to maximize outcomes
