Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP license issued by ASHA and eligibility for an Alabama SLP license
  • Professional educator license for Alabama (details can be verified on the state education certification portal)
  • Willingness to supervise if holding a CCC-SLP
  • Open to candidates at both the Clinical Fellowship (CF) and CCC-SLP levels
  • Comfortable handling a caseload of around 60 students on a weekly basis
  • Flexible to work onsite and occasionally divide time between two nearby schools

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to a diverse caseload of elementary and middle school students
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and academic achievement
  • Maintain thorough documentation and compliance consistent with district and state guidelines
  • Supervise and mentor Clinical Fellows if holding CCCs
  • Participate in school meetings, IEPs, and professional development as required
