Step into an impactful role supporting elementary and middle school students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist within a vibrant educational environment near Prattville, AL. This full-time opportunity offers hands-on experience in school-based speech therapy, focusing on meaningful intervention and student growth during the upcoming academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid ASHA SLP (CCC or CF) license for Alabama
- Professional educator license for Alabama (details available through the official state certification portal)
- Previous experience in schools or a strong desire to work with students
- Willingness to supervise clinical fellows if holding CCC credentials
- Adaptability to serve one or occasionally two schools, primarily at elementary and middle levels
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 60 students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech, language, and communication services to students
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy programs
- Collaborate with educators and other school professionals to support students educational goals
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state policies
- Supervise and mentor clinical fellows, if eligible
- Engage with parents and provide resources to promote carryover of skills
