This opportunity is for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Pottstown, PA. This role involves working with students on the autism spectrum and those utilizing AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices, delivering tailored speech therapy services to help improve their communication skills. The position offers an immersive onsite experience with a supportive environment, ideal for professionals passionate about making a difference in pediatric and school-based speech therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech and language therapy to students with autism and AAC devices
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress throughout the school year
- Utilize evidence-based practices to enhance student communication abilities
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all school and regulatory requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania SLP license and Pennsylvania teaching certification required
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly students with autism and AAC needs
- Familiarity with school-based therapy protocols and educational regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school personnel
- Ability to work onsite for the full school year, from ASAP through June 2026
