Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia SLP license (or in-process and expected to be active by August)
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with students exhibiting behavioral disorders
  • Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to functional and inclusion settings
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to delivering individualized, evidence-based interventions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for elementary-aged students
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure holistic care and student progress
  • Monitor, document, and report student progress and therapy outcomes
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
