A full-time Speech Language Pathologist position is available in an elementary school setting in Virginia Beach, VA. This role involves working with a diverse group of students, many of whom exhibit severe behavioral disorders. Students range from those in functional programs to those included in more integrated classroom settings. The environment is highly collaborative, supported by dedicated staff, and emphasizes team-oriented approaches to support student success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy to elementary students with varying needs, including severe behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with educational staff and support personnel to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy goals as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia SLP license or license pending activation by August.
• Experience working as an SLP in a school setting, preferably with students with behavioral disorders.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to adapt therapy methods to individual student needs in both functional and inclusion environments.
